Lecturer in History (Part Time)

The Department of History at Lake Forest College seeks applicants for a Lecturer position(s) for academic year 2024-2025. The successful applicant would cover one or more of the following courses (the exact terms of the appointment are open to negotiation):

HIST 209: Europe in the Twentieth Century (Fall 2024)

HIST 257: World War II: Europe (Fall 2024)

We are open to applicants at the dissertation stage of a PhD program (an MA is required), or who have completed the PhD. Previous teaching experience preferred. In addition to the standard salary for part-time faculty members (usually approximately $5000, but open to some negotiation depending on experience), the successful applicant(s) will receive mentorship and support from senior faculty members in the department and will have access to campus-wide faculty development opportunities.
