Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach

Lake Forest College is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.  The position is a full-time, non-teaching faculty/administrative staff appointment with benefits.  The chosen candidate will work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission and goals of the department and the College.

Responsibilities:  This position, under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, provides opportunities and responsibilities that include, coaching and mentorship, recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, contest scheduling, budget & equipment management, and team trip planning/fundraising. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting academic success and health/wellbeing of student athletes, leadership & career development, community & alumni engagement and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.  Evening and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and previous collegiate coaching, recruiting, and administrative preferred.  An ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to working in intercollegiate athletics and to the principles that guide Division III athletics.  Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential for collaborative leadership, a high degree of personal initiative, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusiveness.  Candidates must have the ability to relate effectively to current and prospective student-athletes, exhibit strong time management and organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as knowledge of NCAA and Midwest Conference rules and regulations.
