Lauren Slipkowsky has been named the new Associate Vice President of Human Resources. She begins at the College on May 6, 2024.

The new title of Associate Vice President for Human Resources reflects the vast experience Slipkowsky brings to the position, and the elevation of the role to the Senior Leadership Team level, Vice President for Finance and Planning and Treasurer of the College Lori Sundberg said in her email to the College community on April 5.

In her role, Slipkowsky will oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, employee development, benefits administration, and compliance. She will continue the work already begun on the Compensation Analysis Project, among other crucially important projects. She will also collaborate closely with campus stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement and support the College's strategic objectives.

Slipkowsky most recently served as Senior Director of Human Resources at the famed Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. Prior to that, she has worked at Aramark and the University of Chicago in increasingly advanced roles. She also has volunteered with college-access programs Chicago Scholars and One Million Degrees. Slipkowsky holds a master of arts in social service administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s in sociology with a minor in Italian from Smith College.
