Why did you choose Lake Forest College?

In terms of location, I've always wanted to live next to a lake and close to a big city, and LFC offered exactly that (Chicago has a larger population than my entire country). From an academic view, I was appealed by the Science Center, as well as the research opportunities both on and off campus.

What do you advocate for?

Education (gender, unequal opportunities, curriculum) and mental health (access, funding, stigma).

Why did you decide to be a First Connection Mentor?

First Connection in my first year helped me adapt to the new environment quite fast and find a support system at the college. Since those few days had such a large impact on me, I wanted to contribute to the event as much as I can. In addition, my mentors were not there for me only during First Connection, but they were answering my questions and helping me out throughout my whole first year, and I would love to give that same support to new incoming students.

Advice for incoming students

Bring warm clothes. Get a planner. Try out different classes and extracurriculars.
