Part-time Administrative Assistant & Partnership/Program Manager

Lake Forest College is accepting applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant & Partnership/Program Manager to support the Vice President of Career Advancement and Athletics. The position, which is ideal for someone desiring to work in higher-education, will include completing a variety of administrative tasks, interacting with various internal and external stakeholders, and impacting department and program success in career advancement, athletics, and overall institutional engagement. The nature of the position will require a commitment of 16 to 20 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling and occasional evening/weekend work.   

Duties and Responsibilities

This position will provide opportunities and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Vice President with a variety of projects, presentations, research, and reports.
  • Managing assigned administrative tasks, including email and meeting correspondence, letter writing, mailings and other miscellaneous office related duties.
  • Developing and executing effective stakeholder communication plans.
  • Planning and executing various programs and events.
  • Tracking alumni engagement and updating alumni records.
  • Assisting with employer engagement and donor outreach and stewardship.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Serving as a valuable member of both the Career Advancement Center and Athletic Department teams.
  • Supporting the mission, goals, and policies of the College.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or associates degree from an accredited college or university is required. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter, and able to meet deadlines.  Ability to engage positively and effectively with students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, employer partners and other external stakeholders of the College.  The successful candidate must also possess superb time management and organizational skills, be proficienct with Microsoft Office Suite, and have a high degree of comfort working with data, modern CRM platforms, and demonstrated ability to adapt to new data systems and technology. Comfortable using various social media platforms.
