Lecturer in Biology

The Biology Department at Lake Forest College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach one lab section of our core course, Evolution & Ecology (BIOL 220), during the fall semester of 2021. This teaching assignment counts as one course prep with the expectation of providing four hours per week of laboratory teaching and additional office hours. This is one lab section of four, and labs are already designed. Labs are a mix of field work and computer simulation, both with a focus on experimental design. Although a PhD degree is desirable, candidates having completed a MS degree will also be considered. The course is scheduled to meet either Tuesdays or Thursdays (day to be determined) 12-3:50 PM. Fall semester at LFC extends from August 26th – December 16th. If interested and qualified, the possibility exists to teach a lab section in our core course Cell & Molecular Biology (BIOL 221) during the spring semester, 2022 (see separate job ad).
