Assistant Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Distance Track Coach (Part-Time)

Lake Forest College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Distance Track Coach. The position, which is ideal for someone desiring experience in a Division III collegiate coaching environment, will offer the chosen candidate the opportunity to assist the head coach with a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of the cross country and distance track programs. The nature of the position is such that a considerable amount of evening and weekend work will be necessary. The chosen candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission, goals, and procedures of the department and the College. 

Responsibilities:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: assisting the head coach with recruitment of prospective student-athletes, daily administrative operations, workout supervision, and other duties as assigned.  Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment while motivating student-athletes, and be insurable to drive College vehicles.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required with collegiate participation and/or coaching experience in cross country and track distance events – 400 meters and higher – at the NCAA level preferred.
