Moodle 3.11 Quick Start Guide for Students

Welcome to Moodle 3.11! This quick start guide will help you get up and running with the platform.

Logging In

Open your web browser and navigate to the Moodle login page. .

2. Enter your college issued username and password.

3. Click the "Log in" button.

Dashboard

After logging in, navigate to your dashboard. This is your central hub for courses and activities.

1. To access a course, click on its title or image.

2. To customize your dashboard, click "Customize this page" at the top right.

Enrolling in a Course

1. From your dashboard, click "Browse courses" or "Search courses" to find a course.

2. Click the course title to view its details.

3. If the course is open for self-enrollment, click "Enroll me in this course".

Course Navigation

1. The course page has sections for content, resources, and activities.

2. Use the course menu to navigate through different sections.

3. Click on resources and activities to access content and participate.

Assignments

1. To submit an assignment, click on its name within the course.

2. Follow the instructions and attach your file if required.

3. Click "Submit" to complete the submission.

Forums

1. Participate in course discussions by clicking on a forum.

2. Click "Add a new discussion topic" to start a thread.

3. Reply to existing threads to engage with classmates.

Quizzes

1. Access quizzes in the course navigation menu.

2. Click on a quiz to start. Answer questions and submit.

3. You may see immediate feedback or get results later.

Grades

1. Check your grades by clicking "Grades" in the course menu.

2. View your overall grade and feedback on assignments and quizzes.

Profile Settings

1. Click your profile picture or name at the top right.

2. Update your profile, preferences, and notification settings.

Logging Out

1. To log out, click your profile picture or name.

2. Select "Log out" from the dropdown menu.
